Clearing

The clearing is the western most part of the property, jutting out from the woodland  and surrounded by arable fields from the west to the north east. It benefits from sunrise through the woods and sunset across neighbouring fields. The trout stream runs across the north boundary, flowing towards Blackborough End to the west.

The clearing is large enough to use for camping and maybe in the future a glamping lodge.

In spring time daffodils appear at the side of the clearing, and in autumn Lords and Ladies show their red berries. From October we have seen large honey fungus under the ash trees.

The clearing in evening light with a bonfire under construction and a garden bench to rest on.

A path follows from the clearing along the south side of the trout stream via a tunnel of holly understorey.

A route has been cleared through the laurel from the holly all the way along the trout stream back to the little footbridge by the weir.
